Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on Sunday staged a strong protest against the brutal killing of a Kashmiri Hindu, who happened to be a bank security guard, at Achan area of Pulwama district in South Kashmir.

The agitated BJYM activists, led by J&K BJYM president Mr Arun Prabhat, along with State General Secretary Abhishek Salathia, State Media Secretary Chetan Wanchoo,District Presidents Kannav Sharma,Monu Salathia Spokespersons Amit Sharma, shouted slogans against Pakistan and its sponsored terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, and demanded that the UT administration should immediately identify the cowardly terrorists so that they are brought to justice.

The protestors demanded that law and enforcing agencies should also conduct a security review to ensure foolproof security of Kashmiri Hindus staying in Kashmir Valley.

“We strongly condemn the killing of innocent people by the armed terrorists in Pulwama. The selective killings of minority community people in Kashmir are aimed at disturbing the hard earned peace in Jammu and Kashmir. We appeal to the Lieutenant Governor Sh. Manoj Sinha that security agencies should be given free hand to neutralize all terrorists involved in such killings,” Mr Prabhat said.

The BJYM leader said they would not tolerate Pakistan's policy of bloodshed and all anti-national forces should be dealt with sternly. “Terrorists and their sympathizers have been bleeding Jammu and Kashmir at the behest of Pakistan from whom they are taking money and their hand is behind the killing of innocent people belonging to the minority community,” he said.

Mr Prabhat said the BJP government at the Centre has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and forces have crushed terrorism and would continue to do so. “The stern action by our armed forces has caused a significant drop in terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir since abrogation of Article 370. An era of normalcy has returned to Jammu and Kashmir which has frustrated Pakistan and its sympathizers here,” he said.

While seeking an immediate end to the senseless killing of innocent people, the BJYM leader said there was an urgent need to review the security arrangements for the minority community in Kashmir and provide them safety and security.
